Ray is a multi-talented actor, singer, dancer and ice skater born and raised in Liverpool. He first came to our attention playing Anthony Murray on Brookside, as a young boy. Since then Ray has gone on to reach the X Factor final in 2006 only losing out to the exceptional Leona Lewis. But that spurned a career in both music and of late musicals, with his debut album ‘Doing it my way’ entering the charts at Number 1 and quickly gaining platinum status.
Musical credits include Grease, Legally Blonde, Dirty Dancing and the Judy Garland songbook.
Ray is perhaps best known of late for ‘doing the double’ on ITV1’s hugely successful show Dancing on Ice, winning for the first time in 2009. When he returned to ice for the Champions of Champions show – skating against some of the best celebrity skaters we’ve seen, he upped his game and in a hard-fought final won, once again to astonishing plaudits and recognition for an amateur skater.
More recently Ray turned his talents to impressions – winning ITV’s show Get Your act together. His pairing with mentor Debra Stephenson, produced some hilarious results leaving audiences in stitches.
Ray is delighted to be returning to the ice for this 2018 tour and cannot wait!
‘I’ve been back on the ice in recent weeks practising so watch out fellas I’m coming to get you!’
